Welcome to Murray River Puppies Pty Ltd. Established in 2003, our business was created by demand and developed on years of experience.

We are situated at Cobram in Northern Victoria on 12.9 acres of land, 1.5 km from the beautiful Murray River: hence our business name.

We are a registered company permitted by Victorian Minister Approval to breed, sell, and rear beautiful puppies. Murray River puppies is registered as a Domestic Animal Business with the Moira Shire Council. We are monitored by our Vic Government, local rangers, shire representatives and various Victorian government departments.

Murray River Puppies are actively involved in the breeding industry and Proud and Active members of the Australian Association Pet Dog breeders.

We are a Victorian Minister Approved Breeder -Vic state government.

We maintain annual audits to ensure proper animal welfare is maintained, also We work closely with and are monitored by the Victorian Sate Government and Local Laws Department of the Moira Shire Council, along with other government departments

Our breeding program has rewarded us by uniting many Australian families over the years with happy, healthy, companion pets with great temperaments. Currently we are the preferred providers of puppies/dogs for the “Dogs Connect” Program, where our beautiful babies work in the Mental health & Wellbeing programs.

Groodles Standard Groodle

Standard Poodle x Golden Retriever

Groodles are very intelligent and extremely loyal. They are obedient and devoted to their family.

Groodles are friendly towards children, other dogs, and pets, and easy with strangers.

They are social dogs, happiest when people are around. Groodles bred by Murray River Puppies have proven a be a suitable breed for families with special needs.

Groodles are likely to get into mischief and develop behaviour problems if they spend most of their
lives secluded. Family is where they thrive. Their intelligence, eagerness to please, and love of learning makes them very easy to train.

The Groodle requires regular grooming attention. Like many Poodle crosses, most Groodles are light to non-shedding, and most live easily with families with MILD allergies.

Groodles require a moderate amount of exercise.
The intelligence of this breed makes training fairly easy.
The color of the coat can be chalk, cream, gold, apricot and black. physical appearance of the
Groodle runs anywhere from a shaggy-looking Retriever to a curl-relaxed Poodle – Big cuddly bears.

Mini Groodles / Medium Groodles

Mini Groodle / Medium Groodles differ in size depending on the generation.

F 1b= Mini Groodle mum and Mini / Medium Poodle dad.
These babe’s will grow 30-40cm to the shoulder and weight is normally 11-20kg1st cross litter (F1),
These guys are the smaller of the 2 crosses.

F1=Mum Golden Retriever and Dad a Mini / Medium Poodle.
They generally will grow to Border Collie height, weight average is 15-28kg.

The Mini/ Medium Groodle requires regular grooming attention. Like many Poodle crosses, most Mini/Medium Groodle ‘s are light to non-shedding, and most live easily with families with MILD allergies.

Mini / Medium Groodles require organized exercise and strong firm training whist in juvenile yrs. (5-18months). This is rewarded by 12-16yrs of wonderful companionship.

The color of the coat can be chalk, cream, gold, apricot, pied, chocolate and black. Physical appearance of the Mini /Medium Groodle runs anywhere from a shaggy-looking Retriever to a curl-relaxed Poodle. (Antique teddy bears)

F1b Cavoodles

F1b = Mum Cavoodle and Dad a Mini Poodle

The Cavoodle is a small dog with that usually has a thick, soft coat that can be wavy or straight and results in a lovely cross with typically a little curlier coat than the first generation, but all pups will be low shedding the same as the first generation and favourite crosses, due to the lovely thick coat, typical teddy bear appearance, and delightful nature.

The Cavoodle is a lively and very affectionate companion. They have bundles of energy and suit an active household. They enjoy socialising with other dogs and playing fetch.

Daily walks will keep your Cavoodle happy and healthy. They’re small dogs and are hypoallergenic.

Cavoodles have a very gentle nature and can make wonderful companions for children. They can adapt to living in a small home or apartment if they receive adequate daily exercise.

Cavoodles usually do not shed and are often tolerated by allergic people. Their coats do take a great deal of care though, generally requiring professional grooming, as well as regular combing and brushing at home

Weight 5-12kg and Height 25- 38cm depending on the breed of the parents.

Mini Bernardoodles

Mini Bernardoodles (Mini Saint Bernardoodle) are wonderful family additions.
As you can see by the pictures on this page – family is important to them and they will do anything to fit in. They love children and are very gentle.

They’re Easy to train, Mini St Bernardoodle is breed from a St Bernard, Spaniel, and medium Poodle. Non-shedding, no drooling and eyes that do not require surgery.

The Bernardoodle was 1st breed in the UK and Murray River Puppies are the first to have them available for you in Australia.

Regular grooming is required similar to that of the Groodle and many other oodle breeds. They are energetic puppies but with calm training can be controlled very easily.

Height 40-50cm to the shoulders, weight 12-20kg. Medium Breed

We have built our business with excellent support from Fort Dodge Animal Health, with advice on an effective vaccination program for both our puppies and our breeding stock.

We use the best vaccine available in the country. All breeders and their babies are given the best from day one, with a Vet approved diet and a complete parasite program.

All breeding dogs & puppies are wormed and treated with flea prevention on a regular basis.

All our dogs and puppies receive constant handling and are very well socialized.

Socialization, exercise, and enrichment is a daily routine for our girls, guys, and families.

Our “Mums, Dads and Puppies” only ever receive the best of everything!

All parents are DNA tested prior to Breeding.

All our breeding dogs have planned retirement programs agreed on by our vet.
